Ledge Point is a small community; half of its population are holiday-makers, while the permanent residents enjoy a relaxing, quiet lifestyle. The small general store provides the basics for any holiday-makers (and residents), while the proximity to Joondalup makes it possible to have a larger shop.

With a nine hole golf course, tennis courts, bowling greens, a fantastic newly renovated Country Club and beautiful beaches (beware winter, when the beaches retreat), Ledge Point has a great range of recreational activities. But if you want more, Lancelin, only 15 minutes drive up the coast. Boasting a surfing beach, great windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions, as well as a large sand dunes area (there are also sand dunes of Ledge Point, accesible via 4wd tracks).

There are currently several accomodation suites, as well as numerous rental properties, and a caravan park. Ledge Point is the perfect town for a quiet and relaxing holiday.

Surf at Ledge Point is an exposed reef break that has reasonably consistent surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the east. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south southwest. Both left and right reef breaks. Surfable at all stages of the tide.

The Annual Windsurfing Classic kicks off from Ledge Point every January, taking advantage of the world-class windsurfing conditions.
