Since 2001, the City of Rockingham has provided a free event at Churchill Park to celebrate New Year's Eve.

The 2011 celebrations at Churchill Park had free entertainment for the whole family including Daryl Braithwaite, Matt Gresham, local artists, mini golf, hair-braiding, face painting, extreme frisbee demonstrations, sandcastle competition, aerobatics and more.
